Our Facilities


At Em-Te Town we are continually working to build and expand

our facilities to meet the growing demand. We offer a recently constructed Grand Banquet Hall with the capacity to hold 250+ persons including a bandstand and private built in bar.


The Hall provides an ideal facility for weddings, reunions and other private functions. It is easily serviced from our kitchen, with access to the Saloon. A large outside covered deck area and jumbo fire pit are made available for your guests. These are licensed areas which form part of the Banquet Hall rental.


For smaller parties (up to 50 persons), you may elect to

utilize the original banquet room.  This serves as our restaurant during the day and is available for private use in the evenings from 5 pm.  It is available for full day use, during weekdays and the off season. 


It is an ideal venue for smaller weddings, corporate meetings, and private dinners.  It has direct access from the kitchen and sliding privacy doors allow discretionary access to the saloon. Wireless internet is available.


The Saloon remains open to the general public and is accessible

to all as a cash bar.  A private bar in the Grand Hall is available for the exclusive use of your guests.  Drink tickets may be pre-purchased at a discounted price for selected bar stock and domestic beer.  You may elect to subsidize a toonie bar.

Book a Function


At Em-Te Town, our aim is to make the booking process

as simple and transparent as possible.  First, we ask that you

contact us by email through our website at www.emtetown.com


Please provide the desired date, type of function, the

number of people you expect to attend, and any additional requests or questions you may have.


Provide your contact information, including phone number.

 We will get back to you to go over your plans, discuss the

many services we offer, and provide you with any additional information you may require.


An initial non-refundable $1000 deposit will be required to reserve the date selected for your event.


A second $1000 deposit is required by Feb 1st in the

year of your event, confirming your booking date.


All deposits will be applied to your final invoice.


Our functions coordinator will provide you with a detailed

costing form, and arrange to meet with you onsite, in April

or early May, of the year of your event.  


During the meeting you will be able to review and finalize

your plans, including your menu selection, and arrange any additional services you would like. We will then confirm

our arrangements by mutually agreed contract.

A further interim deposit will be required at the time

of our consultation meeting representing one half of

the total projected invoice.


The balance of your invoice will be due 14 days

prior to the date of your event.


As a special consideration to those who have booked a Premier event utilizing the Grande Hall; we are pleased to offer you priority selection on all accommodations for your event.


This means you and your guests will have first choice

of accommodations; before we open our lines to the

general public in the spring. This will include all available

motel rooms, cabins, and power sites. 


We will open our reservation lines for the benefit of you

and your guests about the beginning of April.  Please check

or website for further information and dates.


For all other smaller functions and events, we will help

you secure you’re required availability immediately afterwards. Thereafter, our reservation lines open to the general public. 


Please note that our accommodation reservations are handled separately from the event booking process. A one night deposit

is required for all accommodation reservations.

We are pleased to provide you with our complete western style catering services for Weddings, Reunions and Special Events.


We offer catered group lunches for Group Tours and complete meal selections for Corporate Meetings and Retreats.  Our full service restaurant remains open during regular scheduled hours.


Due to regulations, no outside food or alcohol may be brought into the town premises.  Beer and liquor purchased must be consumed within licensed areas.  This includes the hall, saloon, restaurant, outside deck area, and bon-fire pit.  Outside liquor must remain within the confines of your campsite or cabin.  Children are allowed in licensed areas only under supervision

of their parents.


We are happy to assist you with your choice of DJ, Live Band, Photographer, Pastor, or Justice of the Peace. 

We can recommend a local firm specializing in Wedding Decorations and Special Event Rentals.  Our inventory of tables and chairs are included as part of the facility rental.


Dinnerware, water and wine glasses are provided.

Linen and napkin rentals are available.


Whatever your special needs, our event coordinator will

 be happy to work with and assist you or your planner. 

This will ensure everything is properly organized to your satisfaction and make your event a most enjoyable,

successful, and memorable occasion.






At Em-Te Town, your group will have access to all the amenities you will need for the duration of your stay.  Friends, family &

co-workers can come from afar; settle in and stay awhile. 

No one needs to worry about rushing back home.


Relax in our newly renovated full service Motel, each with

2 double beds, satellite TV, and complimentary coffee.

Additional offsite motel accommodation is available close by.


Stay in one of our 7 cozy rustic Cabins situated throughout the property.  Each contains a thermostatically controlled heater and functioning antique wood stove.  Most sleep 4 with either 2 queen beds or a queen and 2 singles.  Cabin 6 sleeps six; has power and a small fridge.  All have outside porches and fire pits.  We supply bedding and basic amenities.  We encourage you to bring some of your own gear including coffee pot, cooler, flashlight, and axe.


We boast a large diverse Campground with loads of room.  Many individual campsites are treed, some of which are situated along the creek.  Most are large and spacious and several have 30 amp power and water hookups.  All have individual fire pits.


 Group camping areas are available, as well as a parking area

for additional vehicles and utility trailers. The Campground washrooms provide flush toilets and free showers.


The Town Store contains gifts and small necessities. 

Dried and split firewood is available for sale.

There are lots of things to see and do during your stay at Em-Te Town. 


We are nestled in a picturesque valley along a vibrant creek

(Rose Creek), which flows to the North Saskatchewan River. 

The river is 10 km west of Em-Te Town.  You are likely to

see Eagles, Owls, Deer and many other forms of wildlife

common to northern boreal forest. 


Em-Te Town borders a huge swath of crown land stretching

north – south from Drayton Valley to Rocky Mountain House

and westward all the way to the Rocky Mountains.


We are a truly authentic Western Frontier Town on the edge of one of the few last remaining complete wilderness eco-systems.


We now offer Trail and Wagon rides on weekends and have re-established an enhanced petting zoo. Please reserve in advance.

Other area activities include Quading; Horseback Riding;

Fishing; Golfing; Canoeing; Hunting/Outfitting; and a host

of other activities associated with the great outdoors.


On site activities include trail and pony rides, horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, or feel free to bring your own games.

Have a refreshing dip in the creek, or try for a big jackfish.
